History

Since its establishment Porta has been implementing a number of projects the first of which consisted in transformation of apartments in Poland and in developing new aesthetic habits consistent with the global trends.

To meet this objective an offer of internal doors made of embossed panels with interesting designs and diversified colours. These doors are manufactured in all sizes used in the building industry sector.

Highly aesthetic qualities of Porta doors are the effect of high quality production, interesting design and special technology of edge veneering, and the frame seal guarantees silence and tightness while improving door functionality.

The dynamic development allowed the Company to extend the range of products with internal lacquered and laminated flat doors which meet the architectural requirements for residential and public buildings.

Porta places many innovative designs on the european market. This includes adjustable Porta-System door frame which embraces the wall and which has changed the apartment finishing technology. On the Polish market Porta is also the first manufacturer of complete door systems for public buildings – these systems meet various building industry requirements, including sound insulation or fire safety standards. Despite of these differences the particular types of a given system are consistent in terms of external appearance and do not differ from other doors in the room. Establishment of new plants has allowed to introduce many new products on the market. These are metal door frames, including adjustable metal frames and a wide offer of wooden doors manufactures in Suwałki, including a novelty – Gdynia oak entrance doors.

Our production is growing every year. Currently, it exceeds 85000 door leaves and 50000 door frames.

Porta continuous development relies on its human resources. The Company employs about 1890 staff in its 5 plants. These people include skilled workers such as carpenters, mechanicians, production engineers, designers and managerial staff.
